A Long Way Home (2013)
This is a memoir of a young man who is from India. He goes on an adventure with an older brother when he is just 5 years old and is lost in India. He makes his way to Calcutta. After surviving on his wits on the streets for a while, he is lucky enough to be taken into an orphanage and then adopted by a family in Australia. Always yearning to find his home and to let his mother know what happened to him, he shares the details of how he makes that happen, 25 years after he was lost.

True story by Saroo about how he was lost in Kolkata as a 5 yr old and adopted by a Tasmanian couple. With the help of Google maps he eventually found features that he recognised as his family town and retured to India as a 25 yr old to find his family.

I liked reading this book. This story was worth telling because it sheds light on so many issues, poverty, adoption as well as religion. It was a good read.

Most amazing story! I saw the movie "Lion" which is incredible but wanted to learn more about his story. A must read!
