Canon And Text of the New Testament
Caspar René Gregory (1846 –1917), a German-American theologian, a disciple and helper of Charles Hodge, famous principal of Princeton Theological Seminary between 1851 and 1878. In 1907, being a professor of sub-faculty of New Testament in Leipzig, he published his treatise “Canon of the New Testament” in the International Theological Library. It is written in popular style, which is considered by many to be in dissonance with other works of this kind. However, the book, touches on vexed questions, is a scientific work first of all.
