“I’m still plastered to Adrian’s firm body. Carefully and gently, I wipe up the drool I’ve left on his chest.
Shit! What time is it?
I raise my head and look toward the nightstand. Seven in the morning. Dammit, I have to get out of here and fast. Reggie will be at my apartment at eight.
“Adrian, wake up.” He doesn’t move, so I say his name again. “I’m sorry, but I have an important appointment this morning.”
He grumbles and tightens his hold on me.
“No, stay here and rest.”
“I need to go.”
His fingers begin raking through my hair, and I want to stay. Oh, god, I’m in deep shit with this man. I never want to miss work.
His eyes finally open and fix on me.
“Cancel whatever it is and stay here. Hell, I can’t remember the last time I took a day off through the week.
