This book is a real masterpiece created by Ambrose Bierce who is also known as the author of such fantastic novels as the Devil's Dictionary and In the Midst of Life. Fantastic Fables is a collection of short fables, wonderfully written and addressing the most burning issues of the contemporary world in a humor way. The main characters of such jokes are dishonest politicians, judges, businessmen and other people who abuse their authority. It is simply impossible to read Fantastic Fables without a wide smile or even laughing.
