During every form of growth and regeneration local hyperemia is present and this in a degree corresponding to the rapidity and energy of the growth. The formation of antlers in the deer and the moulting in birds offer the best examples for this. Generation and procreation are accompanied by the most pronounced hyperemia?that of rut and later pregnancy.
