Milton
John Milton was a 17th century poet. He is famous for his two epic poems ‘Paradise Lost’ and ‘Paradise Regained’. The book ‘Milton’ that was written in 1915 is one of the most perceptive readings of the character of the man ever written. While in appropriate awe of his subject, Bailey never loses perspective of Milton's flaws and humanity. Bailey's readings of the poems are intelligent and elegant. ‘Milton’ is an extremely delightful reading.
