Good God, what was that? I just finished reading ‘Opal’ a few minutes ago and I’m totally mind blown. Since this is a spoiler free review I’m not going to rant about the ending though. You’ll just have to read it yourself if you want to figure out why I’m so upset.‘Opal’, the third book in the ‘Lux’ series was just as amazing as the previous books, once again full of action, romance, fantasy and Daemon. Just like in ‘Obsidian’ and ‘Onyx’ the characters were well developed and realistic, which I find very important. I don’t want to read about people who just go with the flow and don’t experience any human emotions. I also love Jennifer Armentrout’s writing style, which is very fun and witty. I’m currently marathon reading the series, something I hadn’t done in a while. These books are perfect for that kind of thing. You fly through them. I read ‘Obsidian’ in one day, ‘Onyx’ in two (due to social activities, boo…) and now ‘Opal’ in two too (due to work, boo again…).After I’ve fi
...nished writing this I plan on picking up ‘Origin’, so you can expect my next review in a day or two. Definitely read the Lux series. You will without any doubt adore it.

Throughout the entire series, all I have wanted to do was throw the book across the room or want to bitch slap a few characters like Blake. This is a good thing though. Books that make you react extremely is more than just a good book. I love how Katy's and Daemon's relationship has flourished and developed since Onyx. Opal shows new and different sides of Daemon that you never would have expected. The ending though makes me want to repeatedly stab the book because SERIOUSLY!!! Why did it have to stop there?!? This cliff hanger is killing me. The Lux series is definitely a series to read. If this your first time reading an alien book, start with the Lux series, it'll make you fall in love. I did. Especially Daemon.
