Stand By the Union
A piece of children’s literature by William Taylor Adams, a noted academic, author, and Massachusetts state legislator, who published a lot of books of fiction for boys under the pseudonym Oliver Optic, “Stand By The Union” being one of them. This volume became the fourth book of The Blue and The Grey series, taking place in the eventful and anxious period of the war of the Rebellion. Upheld by the numerous first-hand accounts the author created a vivid, though not historically accurate, picture of the real events of the war.
