Stories From the Faerie Queene
First this book was published in 1897. It was the fullest, and probably the best, and certainly the best-illustrated of the many Victorian and Edwardian retellings for children of Spenser's poetic romance about chivalry and enchantment. This new edition resets the text in very clear and readable modern type, and the illustrations as reproduced are certainly still effective.
