The American Frugal Housewife

Cover The American Frugal Housewife
Genres: Nonfiction
The American Frugal Housewife is probably the best work by Lydia Child who does a wonderful job in describing the life of ordinary people. In this novel she addresses all American housewives showing that they have their own problems and issues. She wants other readers to understand the difficult life of a housewife and as well teach housewives to be more restrained. In her opinion, this is the most burning problem of the American nation and everyone should learn not to waste money. This is the main secret of a prosperous country. Here Child pays a great attention to the way how mother bring up their daughters. While most of the mothers teach their daughters to be happy that implies spending a lot of money, they should explain that saving is also a great fun and it implies getting wealthier and wealthier. They would be wonderful housewives and would not drive their husbands to bankruptcy. Child describes everything with a good sense of humor which makes the book absolutely brilliant.
