She knew because she’d watched each minute pass, hoping that a “real” idea would fly into her mind, but she hadn’t had any luck. Zinnie had thought of a story about a baby dragon egg hatching in the middle of mall in Los Angeles, another about a time portal inside someone’s locker at school, and another about a girl who found she had the power to control her sister’s dreams, but nothing “real.” Nothing good enough for her Writers’ Workshop application.
