This book was written by James J. Walsh (1865-1942) and published for the first time in 1908. It was aimed to respond and negate the anti-catholic and unhistorical book written by Andrew D. White and called A History of Science with Theology in Christendom. In his book Walsh gives a worthy response to his opponent based on a number of historical documents. Here we find information about all the Popes from the Middle Ages to the author's time and understand that according to the preserved documents all of them supported the development of science and encouraged studies and experiments.
