I really enjoyed reading this book because it was kind of a little break from the nooks that I normally read but is still along the same lines. Usually I read books like The Hunger Games in dystopian type worlds. This book is set a country run by the royal family. Everyone in this country looks up to the royal family and obeys them. Instead of sending 24 teenagers to fight for their lives, 35 young ladies are chosen at random to enter the Selection which is a competition for the role of the queen. America Singer is the main character in this book who is selected to go in the selection. She is more like Peeta from the Hunger games because she doesn't want to be changed by the Selection. To learn more about America's journey in the castle, read the Selection.

I read this book because some of my students are reading it for literature circles. The writing is not of a superb quality, but I believe it is perfect for middle schoolers. The story is a mix of The Bac
...helor, The Princess Diaries, and The Hunger Games. America, the protagonist is endearing and relatable. While this isn't a book I would choose to read as an adult, the middle school version of myself is happy I read it.MoreLess

Well, what can I say- bad book, pretty cover. It's a shame...such a needless waste of a perfectly good design...

I absolutely love this book! It is full of so much emotion, but not too sappy. If you liked this book, I actually recommend the Twilight Series. It’s actually pretty good, but the movies were poorly made.

I was about to read it until I read this review. If it's like Twilight, I'll pass. And yes, I read the books. They were painfully bad.

Is it not possible to download the book ?

I don’t like this website’s format because normally have the page is not shown so I miss a lot of the book. Otherwise, this book is both heartbreaking and heartwarming!

I agree. Like, for example, how can anyone NOT figure out this: Th*t is bad. That is so, so bad. Bad bad bad.

You don't miss a lot of the book. Only a portion of the word on the right is cut off, and if you're not smart enough to utilize context clues to infer what the word was, then you're dealing with a personal fault of stupidity. *shrug*

This book is amazing and i can't stop reading it. I recommend that you read the entire series. This series get better as the books and plots and conflicts start to heat up.
