I really didn't like the last Will Trent one as it felt horribly bogged down by the past, and it didn't zip along the way Karin Slaughters books normally do, so my expectations were low for this one. But I was pleasantly surprised. Another murder that zips along and I really enjoyed it, though it's not so much a who dunnit as a how do we catch him? Really enjoyed this one and Lena was less annoying that usual.

I hadn't read this most recent Karin Slaughter book because I really had fallen away from the series-- which had become the all-too-perfect Sara and all-too-damaged Will Show. "Unseen" brings back Lena Adams and corrects some of the excesses of the author's last few books. "Unseen" is tightly written and well-plotted, interweaving just enough of the internal lives of the characters to give us a sense of who they are rather than just what they do. I was afraid that Ms. Slaughter's series would go the way of Patricia Cornwell's Scarpetta books, but "Unsee
...n" sets the series firmly back on the rails. I'm looking forward to reading Ms. Slaughter's new book, which is a stand-alone novel.MoreLess

This book is ok, not great, but it was a good read, It moved quickly which I did enjoy, and the story wasn't very engaging, but it also wasn't overbearing with unnecessary details. I give it a 6 out 10 stars.

I love Karen's books but this one I couldn't finish because it just dragged on.
